St. Lucia sees its share of celebrities.  This may be because one who is famous can get around in St. Lucia in relative anonymity.

Here is a list of the people we know have flown with St. Lucia Helicopters.  Usually we know ahead of time who we are flying, but there are no doubt many more whom we didn't know about and didn't recognize.  Similarly there are a few who have explicitly asked us to respect their privacy which we do in no uncertain terms.  There are also many who have worked in film and television productions where the helicopter was behind the camera:  Primarily in Martinique and in Montserrat.

This list is in no particular order of importance - we appreciate everybody - famous, or not.

We are still in the process of finding the pictures we've taken.  They're buried away in various places.  We also have to research many of the dates.... please bear with us.

  Harrison Ford, Actor

May 1999

Ford ( Indiana Jones, Hans Solo,.... you know him)  is a pilot.  He chartered our helicopter and flew it around the Island himself.  Excellent pilot and a nice guy.  This was his second vacation in St. Lucia .

Our pilot, Owen Sandiford, flew with Mr. Ford.

Behind the Scenes

Helicopters are often used as camera platforms for film and television productions.  St. Lucia Helicopters has worked both in front, of and behind the cameras with more production companies than our collective memories can recall.  Here a few:

  • Creature - the NBC movie by the same guy who wrote Jaws.

  • The Thomas Crown Affair , staring Rene Russo and Pierce Brosnan.  Shot in Martinique.

  • Les Vacances de l'Amour ; (Vacations of Love), a popular French series.

  • Sandals Commercials; if you watch CNN you've seen our shots.

  • National Geographic Explorer - mostly in Montserrat

  • The Discovery Channel - mostly in Montserrat

  • The BBC (both their Bristol and London offices) covering everything from hurricanes to coral reef concerns.
